                            Assessment of the application of the FA280-a fully automated fecal analyzer for diagnosing clonorchiasis: a mixed-method study. Clonorchiasis is an important foodborne parasitic disease in China caused by Clonorchis sinensis. Accurate and rapid diagnosis of this disease is vital for treatment and control. Traditional fecal examination methods, such as the Kato-Katz (KK) method, are labor -intensive, time-consuming, and have limited acceptance. The FA280, an advanced automated fecal analyzer, increases efficiency while significantly reducing labor load. This study aims to evaluate its performance, applicability, and scalability in clonorchiasis diagnosis to explore its potential application in the future.                             Review of the control of clonorchiasis in Shandong Province, China from 1962 to 2015. The aim of this study was to investigate the epidemic scope, epidemic pattern and degree of damage of clonorchiasis as well as to summarize the diagnosis and control effect of clonorchiasis in Shandong Province, China. A retrospective study was conducted to summarize the research on the dynamic epidemiology and the prevention and treatment measures of clonorchiasis in Shandong Province, China from 1962 to 2015. After unremitting efforts and three nationwide surveys on the distribution and infection of human parasites, the infection rate of clonorchiasis decreased from 1.51% (1,500, 000) in the1960s to 0.16% in 1991, 0.04% in 2000 and 0.007% in 2015, respectively.                             Development of an Immunochromatographic Point-of-Care Test for Serodiagnosis of Opisthorchiasis and Clonorchiasis. Chronic infections with the food-borne liver flukes, or , associate with cholangiocarcinoma, bile duct cancer, which generally has a poor prognosis. We have produced a rapid and simple immunochromatographic test (ICT) kit for the diagnosis of opisthorchiasis and clonorchiasis sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of the ELISA were 100%, 98.3%, 97.9%, and 100%, whereas those for the ICT were 94.6%, 91.2%, 89.7%, and 95.4%, respectively. Hepatic clonorchiasis is one of the most prevalent food-borne parasitic diseases worldwide. Clonorchis sinensis, the pathogen, is the major parasitic trigger contributing to cholangitis, cholelithiasis, and even cholangiocarcinoma.                             A new method for estimating the prevalence of clonorchiasis in Korea: A proposal to replace arbitrary riverside sampling. South Korea presently uses an arbitrary sampling method to monitor the prevalence of Clonorchis sinensis infection in the endemic areas of the country. However, the present method is not standardized and focuses primarily on individuals who reside nearest to the mainstream , no difference was observed in the prevalence based on the distance from the riverside areas, including branches and creeks, between the areas <1 and >1 km away from the riversides. Therefore, health authorities should place equal emphasis on all regions within the endemic areas. The oriental liver fluke, Clonorchis sinensis, a pathogen causing clonorchiasis, is of major socio-economic importance in East Asia, including China, Korea and Vietnam. This parasite is now recognized as a biocarcinogen strongly linked to cholangiocarcinoma in humans. Here, we describe the status of clonorchiasis in China, where it has been estimated that more than 15 million patients are affected.                             Identification of Risk and Prognostic Factors for Patients with Clonorchiasis-Associated Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma. Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma caused by clonorchiasis (CICC) has a poor prognosis, and there have been insufficient studies regarding risk and prognostic factors. We aimed to identify CICC-associated factors. A retrospective analysis of 127 eligible patients with CICC was performed with 254 clonorchiasis cases used as matched controls to identify risk factors for CICC.
