Myxosarcoma of the Maxilla – A Case Report Myxosarcoma is a rare malignant neoplasm of connective tissue which is characterized by tissue that resembles primitive mesenchyme, and contains relatively undifferentiated cells that show rapid growth and invasion. The cells are stellate or spindle-shaped and are present in a loose matrix which contains mucoid material, reticulum, and collagen fibers . This paper reports a rare case of a myxosarcoma of the left maxilla in a 50-year-old male, which clinically presented as a soft-tissue mass on the buccal gingiva and radiographically showed a mixed radiolucent-radiopaque appearance.
Diagnosis and treatment of a periocular myxosarcoma in a bearded dragon (Pogona vitticeps) A 5-year-old male Australian bearded dragon (Pogona vitticeps) was presented with a 2-month history of a periocular mass. The clinical evaluation included a physical examination, hematology, biochemistry, and radiographs. The mass was treated surgically and diagnosed as myxosarcoma. Strontium-90
histologies included small cell carcinoma, mucoepidermoid carcinoma, myxosarcoma, embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, and synovial sarcoma.[4]Clinical PresentationThese tumors may present with the following:Hoarseness.Difficulty swallowing.Enlargement of the lymph nodes of the neck.Treatment of Childhood Laryngeal CancerSquamous cell carcinoma of the larynx in children is managed in the same manner
Retrobulbar malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor in a golden retriever dog: A challenging diagnosis A 9-year-old golden retriever dog was diagnosed with a left retrobulbar mass. Fine-needle aspirations and incisional biopsies resulted in discordant diagnoses: myxosarcoma/myxoma or rhadomyosarcoma, respectively. Immunohistochemistry following exenteration allowed definitive diagnosis

, myxoid liposarcoma, alveolar soft part sarcoma and pleomorphic spindle cell sarcoma). Primary sarcomas were located in the left atrium (n=3), left ventricle (n=1) and right atrium (n=1). Histological types were myxosarcoma (3), pleomorphic undifferentiated sarcoma (1) and angiosarcoma (1). Four patients died at 2-64 months (mean, 24.5 months). Sarcoma metastasis to the heart developed at a mean
