Clinical analysis of women with ovarian pregnancy: a retrospective case-control study. To address the clinical features and potential risk factors of ovarian pregnancy (OP). In this retrospective case-control study performed in West China Second University Hospital from March 17, 2005 to December 8, 2018, 146 OP patients were selected as a case group, 292 patients with tubal pregnancy (TP

Preoperative diagnostic clues to ovarian pregnancy: retrospective chart review of women with ovarian and tubal pregnancy To analyze the preoperative diagnostic clues to ovarian pregnancy (OP). This study conducted a retrospective chart review of 23 patients with OP and 46 patients with tubal pregnancy (TP) from October 1, 2003 to September 31, 2016 in Hanyang University Hospital. There were findings. For the patients in whom a gestational sac is not detected in the uterus or the fallopian tubes, it is important to be aware of the possibility of OP and rupture of an ovarian gestational sac to promote early diagnosis and surgical intervention.

The Unexpected Ovarian Pregnancy at Laparoscopy: A Review of Management Ovarian ectopic pregnancies are a rare occurrence; however the incidence is on the rise. Preoperative diagnosis remains difficult due to nonspecific clinical symptoms and USS findings. Most patients undergo diagnostic laparoscopy with subsequent surgical management. We present the case of a 32-year-old female who presented with vaginal bleeding and an unsited pregnancy, with a BhCG of 24693. Formal USS described unruptured right tubal ectopic with ovarian pregnancy being diagnosed at laparoscopy. A wedge resection was conducted to preserve ovarian function. Postoperative recovery was uneventful and BhCG levels returned to zero (nonpregnant) in an outpatient setting. Although laparoscopy remains the gold standard of diagnosis

Case Report of Ectopic Ovarian Pregnancy Following Fresh Embryo Transfer Ovarian pregnancy is a rare and challenging clinical phenomenon. Recent studies have identified assisted reproductive treatments and infertility as risk factors. However, neither a definite mechanism nor clear risk factors were identified and therefore prevention strategies are yet unavailable. In this article, we present a case of ovarian pregnancy occurring following in vitro fertilization treatment and a fresh embryo transfer. The couple was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and no identifiable risk factors for extrauterine pregnancy. The diagnosis of ovarian pregnancy was made during explorative laparoscopy performed due to suspected extrauterine pregnancy. The patient had normal intra- and postoperative course

Diagnostic Dilemma in Ovarian Pregnancy: A Case Series Ovarian pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy but it is the most common type of nontubal ectopic pregnancy. Many times it is operated with a misdiagnosis of ruptured tubal ectopic pregnancy or hemorrhagic corpus luteum. The high resolution transvaginal ultrasonography is a valuable tool for diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy but ovarian contraceptive device and one case by chance without any preexisting risk factors, probably due to interference in the release of ovum from the follicle. In all the three cases, emergency laparotomy was done for ruptured tubal ectopic pregnancy and the diagnosis of ruptured primary ovarian pregnancy was made at the time of surgery, this was subsequently confirmed by histopathology report. In the era where

Ruptured ovarian pregnancy in a primigravida Primary ovarian ectopic pregnancy is a rare entity and is associated with rupture very early in the gestation. We present a case of ovarian pregnancy in a primi gravida, which ruptured relatively late in the first trimester. The patient did not have any predisposing factors for ovarian pregnancy. The case was managed laparoscopically, and the diagnosis

Successful laparoscopic management of a rare complication after embryo transfer: ovarian pregnancy. A case report and up-to-date literature review Ovarian pregnancy (OP) after embryo transfer is very rare. Due to the rarity and the asymptomatic nature, there are still difficulties in diagnosis and treatment. The traditional operative treatment for OP has been oophorectomy. However, the desire to maintain reproductive capability and improvements in laparoscopy have more recently led to conservative laparoscopic techniques. This rare complication could be diagnosed early and managed by a conservative laparoscopic approach. Here we present a survey of the literature and a case of successful laparoscopic management of ovarian pregnancy after intracytoplasmic sperm injection and embryo transfer

Thirteen -weeks ovarian pregnancy following in vitro fertilization for primary infertility treatment: A case report Ovarian pregnancy constitutes 0.15-3% of all ectopic pregnancies. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is on the rise owing to evolution in assisted reproductive techniques (ART). The incidence reported following In vitro fertilization (IVF) or embryo transfer (ET) is 0.27% per clinical pregnancy. We present a case of a 13-weeks ovarian pregnancy following IVF-ET and through a review of the literature, the specific symptomatology, diagnostic criteria, and treatment of this particular pathology will be described. Ovarian pregnancy is a rare condition and its diagnosis is difficult and relies on criteria based on intraoperative and histopathological findings. The management

Complex ovarian pregnancy. Ovarian pregnancy is a rare occurrence. Normally it ends spontaneously in the first trimester. However, it can turn into a life-threatening condition if it ruptures, leading to hemoperitoneum and hypovolemic shock. Diagnosis usually is made with high-resolution transvaginal ultrasonography, and laparoscopic treatment follows. We report on a case of ovarian pregnancy seen in the southeast of Madagascar. Laparotomy revealed the presence of a fully developed, mummified fetus in the right ovary. Surprisingly, the ovary capsule had not ruptured and the patient had no complaints or signs of intra-abdominal bleeding. In rare cases, an aborted ovarian pregnancy can persist for years, producing no symptoms except abdominal swelling.

Primary Ovarian Pregnancy and Its Management Primary ovarian ectopic pregnancy, i.e., the implantation of the gestational sac in the ovary, is one of the rarest forms of ectopic pregnancy. Its incidence after natural conception ranges from 1 in 2000 to 1 in 60 000 deliveries and accounts for 3% of all ectopic pregnancies. The diagnosis is intricate and based on surgical and histopathological observations. The management is, in spite of medical improvement, based on surgery. We present a case of a 10-wk ectopic ovarian pregnancy managed laparoscopically, and we describe, through a review of the literature, the specific symptomatology, diagnostic criteria, and treatment of this particular pathology.

Primary Ovarian Monochorionic Twin Ectopic Pregnancy. A Case Report. Primary ovarian pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic gestation and one that is often diagnosed only at the time of surgery. A 17-year-old primi- gravid woman presented to our clinic with lower abdom- inal pain, vaginal bleeding, and missed period. Trans- vaginal sonography revealed an empty uterus, normal- looking right fallopian tubes, and the presence of a gestational sac containing 2 yolk sacs and 2 embryos with cardiac activity on the right ovary. Methotrexate therapy failed and the patient was successfully treated with laparoscopic enucleation of the ectopic pregnancy mass. Surgery is the primary treatment modality of choice in twin ovarian pregnancy. Therefore, the differential diagnosis of ovarian pregnancy
