not smoke. The inhibition of pentagastrin-stimulated gastric secretion produced by cimetidine or poldine was not affected by cigarette smoking. Since control of nocturnal secretion may be important in promoting ulcer healing and maintenance of remission, patients receiving antisecretory drugs should be advised not to smoke after having taken their nocturnal dose of the drug.
Chemotherapeutic effects of different paclitaxel plus poldine combination methods for treatment of ovarian carcinoma. The study aimed to evaluate the curative effects and toxicity of different paclitaxel (PTX) plus poldine chemotherapeutic combination methods for treatment of advanced ovarian carcinoma. A total of 27 patients with ovarian epithelial carcinoma were divided into four groups: A1 , taxotere plus poldine intravenous chemotherapy (n=5); A2, taxotere intravenous chemotherapy combined with poldine intraperitoneal chemotherapy (n=7); B1, paclitaxel plus poldine intravenous chemotherapy (n=6); B2, paclitaxel intravenous chemotherapy combined with poldine intraperitoneal chemotherapy (n=9). Toxic side effects were observed after chemotherapy, and the short-term effects were assessed. Some
The effect of atropine, propantheline and poldine on the vagally stimulated gastric motility and the histamine-stimulated acid gastric secretion in the rat Histamine-induced acid gastric secretion in the anaesthetized rat was not diminished by poldine in a dose which reduced vagally stimulated gastric contractions by approximately 75%. A dose of atropine, twice as large as the dose which reduced
