Effects of Combination of Functional Electric Stimulation and Robotic Leg Movement Using Dynamic Tilt Table on Walking Characteristics in Post-Stroke Patients with Spastic Hemiplegia: A Randomized Crossover-Controlled Trial. Spastic hemiplegia causes slow and unstable walking in post-stroke patients. Dynamic tilt table with robotic leg movement (DTTRLM) is safe and effective in improving walking . Functional electric stimulation (FES) improves walking speed in post-stroke patients with spastic hemiplegia. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of combined DTTRLM + FES on walking speed compared with DTTRLM alone. Twenty post-stroke patients were randomly assigned to receive either a single session of stepping + FES treatment or a single session of stepping alone treatment. After a one

Effects of Eight Weeks of Selected Virtual-Assisted Montessori-Based Games on Motor Proficiency and Perceived Self-Control in Children with Spastic Hemiplegia during the Coronavirus Outbreak. This study is aimed at examining the effect of eight weeks of selected virtual-assisted games based on Montessori pedagogical principal on the motor proficiency and perceived self-control in the children with spastic hemiplegia during the coronavirus outbreak. In this quasi-experimental study, the children (6.42 ± 1.12) with hemiplegia were randomly selected and assigned to either the experimental group or the control group. In the pretest, motor skills and self-controlling were evaluated using 36-item Lincoln-Oseretsky Motor Development Scale and Children's Perceived Self-Control Scale (CPSC) (ss, 1982

To compare the therapeutic effect among 's three-needle combined with MyoTrac biostimulation therapy, simple 's three-needle and simple MyoTrac biostimulation therapy on upper limb function in children with spastic hemiplegia. A total of 120 children with spastic hemiplegia were randomized into an observation group, a control group 1 and a control group 2, 40 cases in each group. Conventional occupational therapy was adopted in each group. Additionally, 's three-needle therapy was applied in the control group 1, scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture were sustained for 1 h and 30 min respectively, once a day, 5 times a week; MyoTrac biostimulation

[Therapeutic effect of scalp acupuncture combined with rehabilitation training on balance dysfunction in children with spastic hemiplegia]. To investigate the therapeutic effect of scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation training on balance dysfunction in children with spasmodic hemiplegia so as to provide the reference to the optimization of treatment scheme. A total of 60 children with spastic and after 3-month treatment in the same group respectively (<0.05). Compared with the routine group, the score of dimension D and E of GMFM-88 as well as BBS score were all increased obviously in the scalp acupuncture group after 3 and 6 months treatment (<0.05). On the base of routine rehabilitation training, scalp acupuncture can improve balance function of children with spastic hemiplegia better.

Ocular Motor Function in Children with Spastic Hemiplegia Evaluated by the Ocular Motor Score. To assess the ocular motor functions in children with spastic hemiplegia by using the Ocular Motor Score (OMS). This study included 34 children, median age 11 years. The children were divided into 3 groups according to the underlying brain lesion; group 1 malformations, group 2 white matter damage . A total OMS (tOMS) between 0 and 15 can be obtained. The median tOMS in the whole spastic hemiplegia group was 2.5 (range 1.3-5.8). The highest median tOMS 5.2 was seen in group 1, in the children with malformations. Strabismus was found in 45% (15/34) of the children, with an equal percentage in all 3 groups. The children with spastic hemiplegia had a median tOMS of 2.7 and the highest median tOMS

[Purpose] This study examines the effect of concentric and eccentric control training of the paretic leg on balance and gross motor function in children with spastic hemiplegia. [Subjects and Methods] Thirty children with spastic hemiplegia were and after intervention. [Results] In the experimental group, Gross Motor Function Measure and Pediatric Balance Scale scores statistically significantly increased after the intervention. The control group showed no statistically significant difference in either score after the intervention.
